Privacy Policy

In plain words: we collect only what we need to run your salon's website and booking system. We never sell personal information or use it for ads, and there are no tracking cookies on our website. Your clients' information belongs to your salon. We just keep it safe and use it to send the emails your salon asks us to send.

1. Who we are and what this covers

AU2MATES LLC ("AU2MATES", "we", "us") builds websites and booking software for salons. This policy explains how we handle personal information on au2mates.com, on the platform at app.au2mates.com, on the booking pages and websites we run for salons, and in the emails we send.

We play two roles:

• For our own visitors and customers (people who contact us, and salon owners and staff who use the platform), we decide how information is used.
• For salons' clients (people who book an appointment at a salon that uses AU2MATES), the salon decides how their information is used, and we handle it on the salon's behalf. Clients can also read our shorter Booking Privacy Notice.

2. What we collect

• When you contact us: your name, salon name, email, optional phone number and anything you write to us.
• Salon accounts: owner and staff names, work emails, roles, working hours, and salon details such as address, services, prices and opening hours.
• Billing: invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us.
• Salons' clients: name, email, optional phone number, notes from the booking form, appointment history, notes added by the salon, payments the salon records, whether the client agreed to rebooking emails, and whether our emails were delivered.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and server logs and error reports, used to keep the service secure and working.

3. How we use it

• To build and host salon websites and run online booking.
• To send emails on behalf of salons: booking confirmations, reminders the day before, one review request after a paid visit and, only for clients who opted in, rebooking emails. Every rebooking email has an unsubscribe link.
• To send salon owners and staff their summaries, reports and account emails.
• To reply to inquiries and support requests.
• To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, fix problems and meet legal obligations.

We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use salons' client lists for our own marketing.

4. Cookies

Our marketing website at au2mates.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The platform at app.au2mates.com uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Booking pages don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when the page loads.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They may only use personal information to provide their service to us:

We also share information with the salon a client booked with, and with authorities when the law requires it. If AU2MATES is ever sold or merged, information would move to the new owner under the same protections.

6. How long we keep it

We keep salon and client information for as long as the salon is our customer. When a salon leaves, we keep its data for 30 days so it can request an export, then delete it from the live service within 90 days. Backups roll off on their normal schedule. Inquiries from people who don't become customers are deleted after 12 months. We may keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.

7. How we protect it

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and data is encrypted at rest by our providers. Every salon's data is kept separate at the database level, so one salon can never see another's clients. Inside a salon, people only see what their role allows: staff see their own clients, the front desk doesn't see the salon's revenue. We monitor the service around the clock. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information, we'll tell the people affected as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop certain uses, by emailing partnerships@au2mates.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights under local law, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

If you're a client of a salon, the salon controls your information, so it's best to contact the salon first. If you contact us, we'll pass your request to the salon and help them handle it. You can stop rebooking emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of them.

9. Where data is stored

Our providers store data in the United States and may process it in other countries. When information moves across borders, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses and aren't directed at children. Salons may book appointments for minors through a parent or guardian. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell salon owners by email before it applies.
